§Get the type right

A Special POA for buying — unless your agent is close family.

Dubai requires a Special POA that specifically authorises the purchase. A General POA is accepted only when your agent is an immediate family member; for anyone else, Special is mandatory. Buying off-plan adds one more rule — ownership registers through Oqood, so the POA must reference Oqood and name the exact project and unit. We word it precisely so the developer and DLD accept it.
